Back in August, Dr. Spoonhower told me that he and his wife really wanted to do their portrait session in the snow this year and wondered how that would work. “Oh, that’s easy,” I told him. “I create a list of people who request wintry photo sessions and when we get a good snow, I start down the list to see who is available.” I told him to expect a call as early as November.
We then had the warmest winter we have seen in years here in Northeast Ohio. By the end of January, I had pretty much given up that we were going to have suitable snow for a wintry portrait session. And then we had the most glorious snowfall the second week in February. The kids had a snow day, mom had the day off and he was able to leave work a bit early so we could catch the last bit of daylight. As a bonus, it was wasn’t bitterly cold and windy outside!
And of course, you can’t pass up a fun snowball fight when the portrait session is over! I love working with this fun family!
Would you like to schedule your family portrait session?
I am currently booking for summer of 2016. Of course, if you want your own snow day family photo session, I can put you on the list for this coming winter. (Even though this is NE Ohio and the weather can change drastically, I’m fairly certain that spring is here to stay.) Click on the contact tab above to get started.
